We now ship our tow dollies by single pallet 96" long, 48" wide, 26" high at a total weight of around 740 lbs., (shipping box is around 280 lbs.) to any trucking depot within Canada, ( NOT SHIPPED TO A RESIDENT, ONLY A BUSINESS WITH A LOADING DOCK.
There is some exceptions to where we can ship, that is only determined only after booking online can we get this answered, there maybe a slight surcharge to areas where trucking is limited

We also encourage you to insure your shipment for the full value of your dolly, as you will be the one that will benefit from any damage or loss. Insurance offered by the freight company is under $100.

QUESTIONS:

1). How is my tow dolly shipped to me?

Answer: We ship by freight to a trucking terminal near you or any business with a loading dock with a forklift. You will be notified with an estimated delivery date that is 95% accurate.

2). What happens if there is damage to my delivery?

Answer: You protect your investment by taking out insurance for the full value of the dolly, as well as the shipping cost at the time of booking your dolly for shipping, that we can do for you. You will be invoiced for this prior to delivery up to amount no more than $100.

3). How is the dolly shipped?

Answer: We crate every dolly we ship as per the pictures provided here and take it to the trucking depot located closest to our plant.

Custom Tow Dolly removable trailer tongue design:
For shipping of the Tow Dolly the neck is removed as detailed above, along with the fenders that are bolted on, and of course the tires. It is very simple to see how the dolly is put together and only requires basic shop tools. The torque bolts should be @ 120 lbs.

If you prefer a welded neck, then follow instruction above, or seek the help of a welder that can do this for you...

Welding Instructions:
Simply remove the 4 bolts and move the inside 2" square tubing to offset the holes, weld by filling the holes on both the top and bottom and run a couple of beads on the 2.5" square tubing joint.

What To Do When Your Crate Arrives?

What To Do When Your Crate Arrives?

  1. Your crated dolly will arrive at a trucking depot closest to your location.
  2. You will get an email or call from the trucking depot of your crated dolly is ready for pickup.
  3. You also have a tracking Number to see where your crated dolly is at all times.
  4. Pickup your crated dolly with a truck or trailer, that will be loaded by the trucking company.
  5. Once you get your crated dolly home, inspect it for any damage to the crate and make sure to date and take pictures of any damage in order to make a claim.
  6. If everything looks good, remove the top with a Robertson #8 bit OR phillips bit
  7. Remove the front and back, then the sides.
  8. Undo any strapping or tie-downs.
  9. Put first the tires on and torque the bolts at 100-120 lbs.
  10. Install the fenders and hand tighten each of the 8 bolts, as they have lock washers.
  11. Install the neck and torque the bolts at around 50 lbs.
  12. Connect the wires to the break-controller and the battery on the dolly.
  13. Try out your dolly around the block making sure everything is working good.
  14. Make sure to register your dolly, and call your insurance company.


NOTE: IF YOU PLAN ON TRAVELING WITH THE DOLLY EMPTY, TAKE OUT THE AIR IN BOTH TIRES DOWN TO 15 LBS, FOR A SMOOTH RIDE.
MAKE SURE TO INFLATE THE TIRES TO 40 LBS WHEN YOU PLAN TO USE THE DOLLY TO TOW A CAR.

Recycle Your Shipping Crate

Once you have received your crated dolly, removed all the plywood on the sides and top only, then unstrap, unbolt all the parts inside that are secured.
Remove the dolly from the back so not to destroy any of the framing.
After your dolly is removed, take a good look at your empty crate to see what you yourself may use it for, ie: dog or cat shelter, chicken coup, or any animal in need of shelter, you can turn this crate into a good home for a pet or an animal in need of shelter.

If you can't find a use for it, call your local animal shelter to see if they may have a use for it, or anyone living on a farm or remote location.
